Ever since I was a small child I would jump at the chance to get a new horse book or talk to a respected trainer or large animal Veterinarian.  I would watch trainers (the great ones) all day if I had the chance.  I saved every dime and spent them on lessons every chance that I had.  I asked for lessons for my birthday, Christmas and every holiday in-between.  I desperately wanted to learn so that I could be the best possible Horse Trainer there ever was.  I also wanted to own the most shiny, fat, best behaved, and healthiest horses around.  I just love horses!

Why won’t people that own horses learn?  A of horse owners do not know anything about their own horses, training, or riding.  A LOT!  I give them books, articles from magazines, and CDs and they do not take the time to read them.  I give them advice and they respond with “Oh that is too much trouble”, or “I can’t afford to do that”.  Don’t those people care about their horses?  I guess they think their horses are happy if they are standing and eating.  THEY ARE MORONS!  For Gods sake do your horse a favor and read a book.  Take a riding lesson from a qualified instructor.  Watch a training DVD.  LEARN! 

If you are reading this blog and thinking about buying a horse, or rescuing one,  I have a great DVD about stable manners.  Go to our Forum and ask for it.  Read a book.  BE AN ASSET TO THE HORSE WORLD NOT AN ASSHAT! 

Dog and cat owners are just as ignorant.  They do some dumb things like putting him in a small cage at a kennel when they go on vacation, or jogging them on cement or asphalt.  Horses I know, small animals?  Not so much.  I will read up on the subject in books, articles and DVDs before I start on their owners.  I will learn!
