And yes readers, we received our first, our very first, threat!  From…guess who?  Dream Walker Ranch in Las Vegas.  Ha, ha, very nice. 

Here it is:

Please be advised that you have published libel material on your website. 

I am the owner of Dream Walker Ranch and I do not appreciate your false accusations regarding the treatment of animals under my care. 

As an animal lover and a fair person I will  not stand for you publishing one sided slanderous material with false allegations. 

If my business name and my personal information is not removed from your site the next letter you will receive will be from my attorney.

I guess we hit a nerve.  Showed some pictures did we?  The original complaints came from www.ripoffreport.com and that complaint and some others on the same page did not come from us.  We just repeated what we read.  The story that we printed was witnessed by us and the pictures we showed are of the actual horse that came from Dream Walker Ranch. 

Well you morons, pictures and live witnesses with pictures don’t lie!  Our pictures tell the truth.  There is no getting around the fact that the horse had unusual wounds and our pictures showed them.  They were unusual because the trip from Las Vegas to Yorba Linda takes only four hours!  Maybe now you will clean-up your act and be more honest about the horses you sell to unsuspecting buyers.  We did not say anything that was not the truth.

We blame the buyers also, for being too damned stupid to do some research, or God forbid, take some riding lessons before buying their first horse.  These idiots are the reason some ranches get away with ripping people off.  If these idiots would stop buying horses sight unseen then the rip-off ranches could not sell them as they do.

By the way, next week we will do an up-date on “Timmy” for you.  His horrific rope burns are all healed.  It turns out that he is a nice horse.
